Construction manufacturing - Skills Advantage Programme Masterclass & Factory Tours

'Skills Advantage is an exciting new initiative that focuses on developing the skills of business leaders and managers. The programme is designed to ensure that companies in the AWM Region with construction related activities are ‘fit for the future’ by enabling employers to improve the skill levels of their employees. The Skills Advantage programme is aimed at Directors, Managers, Supervisors & Team Leaders within construction and construction product manufacturing companies in the West Midlands and also construction clients and other professionals such as Contractors, Architects, Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors. If you are living and/or working in an Objective 2 area of the West Midlands and your company/employer is classed as an SME business i.e. with less than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than £35million then you qualify.

This programme offers the Manufacturers the opportunity to take advantage of the programme master classes addressing issues facing the construction industry with accompanied factory tours highlighting construction solutions and modern technologies.

Construction manufacturing- Inside Offsite Factory Tours

The market for quality offsite solutions is growing rapidly in all sectors of the construction industry. Substantial investments are being made to increase manufacturing capacity and to offer increased choice of solutions and to further improve value for money.

You will have seen the coverage in the technical journals and at conferences but how much do you really know about the products that are available on the UK market and what these can offer in terms of delivering improvements in the construction process and substantially better value for your clients and customers?

Advantage Offsite, the RDA funded West Midlands regional offsite initiative, has initiated an exciting new series of engaging events starting with a series of Factory Tours being branded Inside Offsite.  The Inside Offsite factory tours will allow delegates to understand the various different areas and technologies within the offsite construction sector through a series of fact-finding visits to leading offsite manufacturers. This programme has been developed to meet the information needs of those who design, specify and deliver construction projects of all sizes and for all construction market sectors.

The programme will provide a unique opportunity for you to:

  •   visit leading manufacturers' production facilities to view the entire manufacturing process
  •   talk to manufacturers and their clients about particular projects
  •   find out more about how to get the most out of offsite solutions
  •   network with other construction professionals
  •   ask those questions that are of most importance to you and to your clients.

Each tour will focus on a different technology within the offsite construction sector:
