LiftOff is a support and development programme specifically designed for West Midlands companies operating in the aerospace industry.
In recent years aerospace manufacturers have experienced difficulties worldwide. In the West Midlands companies involved in component manufacture and assembly are in turn facing global competition and cost-down pressures.
LiftOff is a midlands wide business support initiative with the aim of ensuring that the region maintains a sustainable and world-class aerospace industry. LiftOff can help companies meet the current demands while, at the same time, preparing to capitalise on the predicted future up-turn in the global market.
Currently, MAS-WM is in the process of bidding for an additional phase of funding for the LiftOff programme. It is anticipated that this projects will focus on the SC21 requirement.
This page will be updated as soon as additional funding is secured for LiftOff. In the meantime take a look at some of the most recent case studies.

The Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA) was formed in 2003
to support and represent the aerospace industry across the Midlands region, East and West.
MAA work closely with the regional development agencies as strategic partners, and share with them the same vision for the future. Each partner has a distinctive mission when it comes to realising that vision.
The MAA, like the aerospace alliances in other UK nations and regions, works closely with the national Society of British Aerospace Companies and the Manufacturing Advisory Service.
